MOVIE REVIEW FOR THE COVENANT!
The Covenant is a great movie. If you like movies about witches and super powers then this movie is a definitely a must see!
This movie is about five young boys who are in a clan called Ipswich. It was a secret clan to protect the five families that legend has it have universal powers. But the fifth member of the family, is said to be killed of in a Salem witch hunt. Now the fifth member is back to seek revenge on them all at the Spenser Academy.
First what was good in this movie was that you wanted to stay in your seat and not miss a single second. The music was energetic and followed the tone of the movie. I know the girls would enjoy this movie because their was a dose of romance to complement the action. One last good thing was how realistic the character Caleb's father's makeup looked. Now to what was bad. The special affects on the scene where they jumped the cliff were bad. If you saw that you would say, "wow I thought that the Matrix ended." This movie may confuse you because it goes back in fourth with the past and present. It was a Pirates of the Caribbean ending which leaves you wondering a lot. The bad part was it was not as frightening as it looked on the previews and trailers.
First Steven Strait who played as Caleb Danvers was a good actor. Although he didn't seem to have enough excitement in the film. Next, Toby Hemingway who played Reid Garwin was an actor that was good at playing a real bad ass. He played the action scenes well, but he could have been stronger in the other parts. Now, Taylor Kitsch who was Pogue Parry, a terrific actor. Especially when he finds out that Chase (the fifth member of the group) puts a spell on his girlfriend. Chace Crawford played as Tyler Sims, he was horrible. He was too much of an introvert for the role. He never stood out at all. Laura Ramsey played Sarah Wenham. She was spectacular and showed a side of emotions. Also she had a scantily sexy side in this movie. Jessica Lucas played Kate Tunney. She was marvelous, and the one side of diversity in the movie. She was good at being mad at Poke. He was mad that she was hanging around with Chase. Last is Sebastian Stan who played as Chase Collins. He was the killer of the group who was good at being bad and mystical. Even though he was a bad guy he added a twinkle of comedy to this movie.
That's all for this review. Stay tuned for previews and reviews of other movies. Also more Dairy World News show to come!
